Acquisition and development agreement put the Taurus Capital Partners–backed franchisee on a path to 18 Primrose schools across six markets

Pathlight Learning (“Pathlight”), a leading franchisee of Primrose Schools® (“Primrose”) and a portfolio company of Taurus Capital Partners (“Taurus”), today announced the acquisition of four Primrose schools in Omaha, Nebraska. Continuity for Omaha Families

The Omaha schools - Primrose School of La Vista, Primrose School at Legacy, Primrose School of West Maple and Primrose School of Elkhorn - will continue to serve Omaha-area families without interruption. All four locations will retain their teaching teams and leadership, and Pathlight plans to invest meaningfully in the schools and their teams to deliver a best-in-class educational experience.

“Everything we do begins in the classroom,” said Sarah Albahadily, President of Pathlight Learning. “Growth only matters if it strengthens the experience of our children, families and teachers. These four Omaha schools already have strong teams and deep roots in their communities. Our responsibility is to support those teams with the resources, opportunities and leadership while preserving the relationships families already know and trust. Families will continue to see the same familiar faces and over time, they will see thoughtful investments that make an already great experience even better.”

This acquisition brings Pathlight to seven Primrose schools across Oklahoma City, Nashville and Omaha, serving more than 1,000 children and their families. It is Pathlight’s second transaction since Taurus’ initial investment in August 2025, following its acquisition of Primrose School of 12 South in Nashville in March 2026.

Bringing Primrose to New Communities

Under the development agreement signed with Primrose, Pathlight will develop 11 new Primrose schools, expanding its presence in Omaha, Oklahoma City and Nashville while entering new markets in Kentucky and Ohio. Pathlight expects to open its first new school in 2027 and is actively evaluating both new construction and opportunities to convert existing early childhood education centers into Primrose schools.

“Omaha and the new geographies in our development agreement are exactly the kind of markets we set out to build in - strong communities with families who value premier early education, and markets where we can grow by acquisition, adaptive reuse and ground-up opportunities for new schools,” said Amy James, Chief Growth Officer of Pathlight Learning. “We believe the strength of our operational capabilities, depth of our collective experience in the Primrose system and capital scale are unique and will allow us to open exceptional schools in the years to come.”

A Shared Commitment to Excellence

Pathlight operates exclusively within the Primrose system and has built its growth strategy around the brand’s proprietary Balanced Learning® approach and franchise support model.

“Pathlight has earned this next chapter,” said Amy Jackson, Chief Franchise Officer of Primrose Schools. “As longtime Primrose Franchise Owners, Sarah and Amy, along with their teams, have shown what our brand looks like when it is operated with real care and real rigor, and their commitment to develop 11 new schools reflects exactly the kind of long-term, family-focused partnership we want in our system. We are proud to support Pathlight as they bring the Primrose experience to more children and communities.”

“We invested in Pathlight because Sarah and her team are exceptional operators in the very best brand in early childhood education, and everything we have seen since has reinforced that conviction,” said Griffin Gordon, Founder & CEO of Taurus Capital Partners. "Pathlight is a platform built on the quality of its schools and the strength of its partnership with Primrose, and Omaha and the development agreement are proof of both."
